One of the points on my action plan was to post a review on the English Wiki as I’ve never used a Wiki before. I posted my first book review today! I reviewed a book by Catherine Rayner, “Augustus and His Smile”. It really is a beautiful book, the illustrations are stunning. I think it lends itself well to lessons about concrete poems and to help children think about why writers lay out the text in their books in certain ways. The vocabulary used is really interesting and would also be another great focus for a lesson.
I love reading and I’d love to do more book reviews so hopefully, when I get time, I can get a few more on my website and also on the Wiki. You can see the review here.
